CITAD Supports Kano Nomadic Pupils with Uniforms, Learning Materials

By Asma’u J. Abubakar

KANO β€” The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) has distributed school uniforms and learning materials to nomadic pupils in Kano State as part of efforts to promote inclusive education.

In a report by Punch Newspaper and ThisDay, the initiative, carried out in selected nomadic communities, is aimed at supporting children with essential learning tools and encouraging school attendance among underserved populations.

CITAD representatives noted that the programme is part of ongoing efforts to bridge the educational gap affecting nomadic communities, who often face challenges such as mobility, poverty, and limited access to formal education.

Beneficiaries received uniforms, books, and other writing materials to support their learning, while community leaders expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a boost to school enrolment and retention.

The organisation also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting education and digital inclusion across northern Nigeria.
