The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a warning to skit makers and content creators, urging them to stop using its name, logo, uniforms, and other official symbols without proper authorisation.
The Commission expressed concern over what it described as a growing trend of its identity being featured in comedy skits and digital media productions. According to the EFCC, these portrayals are often inaccurate and risk misrepresenting the agency’s core values, operations, and standard procedures.
In a video shared on its official Facebook page, the anti-graft body clarified that it has not granted permission to any individual or group to use its identity for entertainment or media purposes. It cautioned that such unauthorised use could mislead the public and undermine its work.
