Dahwol Kim Joshua, popularly known as Dkimz, is steadily carving a niche for himself in Nigeria’s entertainment scene with a blend of street credibility and conscious music.
Born in the early 2000s and raised in a Christian home, the Jos-born rapper developed strong moral values and discipline that continue to shape his artistry. His journey into music began during his art studies, where he discovered a passion for creative expression.
Dkimz officially launched his music career in 2020, starting with performances at school social events and recording with basic equipment. With time, he honed his craft and transitioned into professional studios, producing over six tracks that quickly gained traction within and beyond his immediate community.
The fast-rising artiste has collaborated with notable acts such as Icelord, Shyney, Kliq and MIRVMEXO, further expanding his reach in the industry.
Fondly called the “street ajebo” — a nickname reflecting both his humble roots and urban appeal — Dkimz is driven by a desire to inspire. He envisions himself as a “musical therapist,” using his platform to uplift young people through relatable and motivational content.
Currently a 300-level Mass Communication student at the University of Maiduguri, Dkimz continues to balance academics with his growing music career.
With songs like “Dream Chaser” and “On God,” he aims to leave a lasting impact, encouraging listeners to pursue their dreams while spreading positive messages across various streaming platforms.
