The messages, shared by social media account AQABABE, reportedly reveal details surrounding the training-ground altercation between Tchouameni and teammate Federico Valverde.
According to the leaked chat, Tchouameni admitted that a serious confrontation occurred during training but denied reports claiming he punched Valverde. The midfielder allegedly stated that the situation was exaggerated, although he acknowledged that Valverde hit his head on the ground during the heated exchange.
The incident reportedly took place at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training complex on Thursday and escalated to the point where Valverde was taken to hospital with a traumatic brain injury.
Earlier reports suggested Valverde struck a table after being punched, but the club’s official medical update later confirmed that the midfielder suffered cranioencephalic trauma and would require between 10 and 14 days of complete rest.
The injury is expected to rule Valverde out of the upcoming El Clasico against FC Barcelona, dealing a major setback to the squad ahead of one of the season’s biggest matches.
Although a statement from Valverde’s representatives reportedly supported Tchouameni’s claim that no punches were thrown, the club has still treated the incident seriously.
Reports from The Athletic indicate that both players have been placed under disciplinary investigation and suspended for the weekend fixture against Barcelona.
Sources within the club also claim that club president Florentino Perez is considering additional punishments, including financial sanctions and possible exclusion from the squad for the remainder of the season.
